Ceramic Watches

Ceramic Watches for Women & Men

There was a time when all watches were made of metal. In their search for new, novel materials, watchmakers are now turning to science for new ideas, and the last few years have seen the introduction of watches made from materials never used for that purpose before.

Some of the most popular new materials to emerge from this trend are ceramics with a hard, glossy texture that is perfect for small objects. Ceramic watches can be just as attractive and durable as metal ones, as one can see from a few prominent examples.

For instance, Bulova has some exceptional ceramic watches in their time-honored Accutron line. The concise, forthright style of Bulova is an icon in watch design, and it can be clearly seen in their Accutron Mirador ceramic watch. The extra-wide bezel is marked with a wheel-spoke pattern surrounding a dial with a sunburst design rarely seen in modern watches. There are both black and white ceramic watch models of this design.

Another example of a great ceramic watch comes from Tag Heuer, the iconic maker of sports watches. Here we see strong, emphatic designs with very narrow bezels, the customary five-second intervals being displayed on the outer edge of the face. In particular, the Tag Heuer Formula 1 Men's Watch shows admirable styling. For this design, there are jeweled, unjeweled, black and white ceramic watch models.

Michele's Jetway line is a selection of magnificent white ceramic watches. Gold and diamonds make their appearances in this line of elegant, feminine watches. The colors are particularly harmonious, with the cool gleam of the metal and stones working well to create white ceramic watches of extraordinary style and beauty.

These are only a few examples of the wonderful new world of ceramic watches that are now available for the discerning buyer.
